THE ENDURANCE WORKSHOP

"Great day spent on The Endurance Workshop. From the most experienced cyclist in our group to the complete novices we all learned a lot throughout the day. Bike setup, bike handling, excellent nutrition advice on what to eat in and out of the saddle and general logistics, support crews and safety were all covered.

Joe, Jill & team really know what they are talking about and we are all much more confident and better equipped to take on our challenge in September.”

A ONE DAY WORKSHOP

Endurance doesn't come with a prescription. There is, however, vital knowledge you need to support yourself and your team moving forward.

We've made many mistakes over the years and we've learned from them. You simply don't have to make the same mistakes when we already have the roadmap and want to share it.

It doesn’t matter what your current level of experience is, our goal is that you walk away from this one-day workshop more equipped and confidant to meet whatever performance goal you have in mind head on.

FOR THE ENDURANCE WORKSHOP YOU MUST:

  1. Have a bike in good mechanical working order and weather appropriate riding gear

  2. Be able to ride for 2 hours at a minimum average pace of 13mph

BREAKDOWN OF THE DAY

MORNING - GROUP RIDE WITH JOE

The day will start with a short introduction that promises to inspire and motivate, followed by a 2-hour group ride with Joe, supported by a team car.

Every participant will get side by side time with Joe. He can coach you on your bike set-up specific to endurance, your riding position or any specific areas where you want his advice. This is your one-on-one time with Joe so plan to use it wisely!

ABOUT JOE

SHOWER. CHANGE. EAT.

This break is ample time to mingle with Joe and team in a casual setting.

AFTERNOON - NUTRITION

Jillian, our nutrition expert, will start the afternoon with a 60-70 minute presentation that will take you through the nuts and bolts of performance nutrition.

She will give a fun and informative overview of building nutritional resilience, macro and micronutrients, how muscles utilise macronutrients to create energy, different fuelling systems and how to avoid bonking. There will be lots of time for questions throughout the day.

SPIN THE WHEEL

This is the bespoke portion of your day.

You may be ready to sit back and enjoy a one hour, multi-media motivational presentation by Joe and Jill.

Or you might want to discuss topics such as forming a support crew, crew logistics or rider, road and race management, etc.

Sometimes groups want a lesson on bike set-up and maintenance. It really is your choice!

Rest assured we'll create whatever you need to keep the bike moving forward.

CLOSE OF THE DAY

Joe will wrap up the day and field any outstanding questions. We want you walking out the door inspired and confident!
